One of the most important varieties in our assortment is our Magical line of the Hydrangea. In cooperation with our Hydrangea breeder, Kees Eveleens, we developed thrue breeding new varieties for our Magical line. All Magical named Hydrangeas are protected under breeder's patents. The Magical Hydrangea is known to have different stages of flowering and colouring, beginning with 'fresh' flowers and ending in a 'classic' stadium.

All our varieties are suitable for cutflower production. Some varieties are also available for the potplant market. Every year thousands of seedlings are being tested for their value as cutflower. The last couple of years we managed to introduct some spectaculair new Magical varieties on to the cutflower market. We are confident that many new Magical varieties will follow!

In Holland almost all Hydrangea cutflowers are being produced in greenhouses, in warmer climates the Hydrangea can also be produced outside. Please contact us for additional infomation if you would like more information, for the Hydrangea we also have a separate brochure.

Cutflowers and ornamental foliage are flowers or shrubs that produce flowersor foliage whose value is partly determined by their production of attractive branches for cutting, which are then traded. These products are more often used in mixed bouquets and floral arrangements.In the Netherlands a bouquet or floral arrangement is often made up of more than 50 % ornamental foliage. It has become an essential part of floral decorations and contribute strongly to the projection of extra quality.

Since 1975 Kolster BV has specialised in the cultivation of various non-invasive hardy bamboo varieties. We grow high quality plants on an area of around 5 hectares of outdoor cultivation and around 0.5 hectares of container cultivation. Our experience and knowledge about Bamboos enables us to advise you about these non-invasive bamboos.

Kolster BV has an attractive and extensive range, both soil grown as grown as containerplants. We are specialised in the larger sizes, from 60cm to 250 cm.

Kolster BV offers you, besides the plants protected by plant variety rights, also a range of other various shrubs for cutting and perennials. Some varieties are widely used in the cut flower industry and others have a more exclusive character. You can choose according to your market and we can give you advice on this.
